i.Is this real-money gambling?
No. The chips you play with hold no monetary value and cannot be purchased, sold, traded, redeemed, or exchanged for anything of any kind. There is no wagering of real money, no sweepstakes mechanic, no prize redemption — only the games themselves.
ii.Can I buy more chips?
No. We do not sell chips, and have no plans to. If you run out of chips in any room, you may reset to 1,000 at no cost.
iii.Do I need to register?
No. There are no user accounts. Your chip balances and game state live in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data will reset everything.
iv.Why is there an age gate if no money is involved?
Because gambling-themed content — even of the virtual sort — is not appropriate for minors. Various jurisdictions require it for social casino content. We agree with the principle and apply it consistently.
v.Will I be redirected to a real casino?
Never. We do not partner with, refer to, or earn commissions from any real-money gambling operator. The Parlour is the whole establishment.
vi.What data do you collect about me?
Almost none. Our server keeps 30-day access logs (IP, page, timestamp). Your game progress lives in your browser. If you grant analytics consent, Google Analytics counts aggregate visits. If you grant marketing consent, advertising platforms can measure ad effectiveness. By default both are off. See the Privacy Policy for the full account.
vii.Why don't I see Google Analytics or Meta Pixel running?
Because you declined consent (or have not yet been asked). Our tags are gated behind Google Consent Mode v2: they only fire after explicit opt-in. This is by design, not by oversight.
viii.I cleared my browser and my chips are gone.
Yes — that is how it works. We do not store balances on our servers, so clearing browser data is irreversible. The chips have no monetary value, so the loss is purely sentimental.
ix.Can I play on my phone?
Yes. The Parlour adapts to mobile and tablet displays. No app required — your browser is enough.
x.I would like to take a break from the games.
Please see Conduct. We provide session timers and a true self-exclusion option (which requires deliberate friction to reverse).
xi.How is the site funded?
Currently out of pocket. See The House for a candid note on where any future revenue would come from. (Hint: never from the sale of chips, never from real-money gambling partnerships.)
